RICHARD Alain - Sideboard 802 Rosewood Edition TV furniture by Ala

Large sideboard, model created in 1958 by Alain Richard (1926-2017) for the French publisher Meubles TV (Tricoire and Verchionne). This sideboard has two doors, a flap and four drawers, made of Rio rosewood veneer, supporting structure with six legs in black lacquered steel, fitted with adjustable pads, very pretty original keys, the design of the pull buttons of the drawers is also remarkable. This piece of furniture is marked with the original metal plate in the name of the designer Alain Richard and the editor Meubles TV fixed on the inside of the right door. The 800 series furniture designed by Alain Richard has largely contributed to the development and reputation of the TV furniture editor. This model, with its sleek and minimalist design, but an extraordinary wood, marked the decorative arts of the 1950s and was selected for the XII Triennale in Milan in 1960.
